Aged in barriques
This big bottle of Barbera d’Asti Docg is dedicated to Domenico Laiolo, a very discreet and solitary man who, survived to the second world war‘s horrors, has given rise to vineyards and cellar of Piancanelli.
To him we owe the credit the Foundation of Piancanelli.
The high quality of the Barbera grapes vinified with traditional methods, followed by ageing in oak barrels, has made it possible to obtain a full-bodied wine with a soft and intense tannic content.
The nose is rich and complex, with vanilla overtones together with the fruity fragrance of Barbera.
If properly stored, it is suitable for long ageing.
